OVERVIEW
이미지와 텍스트 분야를 평정한 딥러닝에게 있어, 정형 데이터(Tabular Data)는 여전히 GBDT(Tree 기반 모델)가 지배하는 '마지막 요새(Last Bastion)'로 남아있어 왔다. 본 세미나에서는 2022년 연구를 통해 딥러닝이 정형 데이터의 고유 특성(Irregularity, Noise) 앞에서 고전할 수밖에 없었던 구조적 원인을 분석한다. 이어, 2025년 최신 벤치마크(TabArena)를 통해, 최근 딥러닝 모델들이 이러한 한계를 극복하고 GBDT의 성능을 따라잡는 과정에 대해 논의하고자 한다.
